Matthew planned the sweetest surprise for his girlfriend, Brooke, at Hammond’s Ferry. The moment felt so personal to them, and it was complete with beautiful decor and sentimental details.

Everything about the proposal was thoughtfully planned, from the setting to the little details that made the day uniquely theirs. It was clear how much care Matthew put into creating a meaningful moment for Brooke, and I was so honored to be trusted to capture it all.

Proposal Session at Hammond’s Ferry

From the anticipation leading up to the proposal to the joy and excitement that followed, it was such a beautiful experience to witness and photograph. These are the moments I love most about what I do. Getting to preserve the excitement, emotion, and little details of a memory that they’ll be able to look back on for years to come is one of my favorite parts of photography.

Proposal Session Outfits

Even though Brooke had no idea a proposal was coming, she dressed perfectly for the occasion! She wore a beautiful pale yellow dress that fit the setting, while Matthew wore a classic white collared shirt with dress pants and brown leather shoes.

Matthew’s shoes had an extra special detail that made them even more meaningful. On the soles, he had their initials and the date of the proposal engraved — a sweet little reminder of the day. It was such a thoughtful detail and one of the many ways Matthew made the entire proposal personal to the two of them.
