If you’re a senior, or the parent of one, you probably have a lot of questions about senior sessions. From choosing outfits and locations to knowing what to expect during your photoshoot, it’s completely normal to have questions before your session.
My goal is to make the entire experience feel simple, comfortable, and stress-free. Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about senior sessions to help you feel prepared and confident before the big day.

I recommend booking your senior session 2–3 months before your preferred session date. This gives us plenty of time to choose a location, plan outfits, and make sure everything is ready for your session.
It’s a great idea to start thinking about your senior photos by the end of your junior year, especially if you have a specific season or date in mind. Popular seasons, like spring and fall, can fill up quickly, so reaching out early is always encouraged.
Each season has its own look:
Spring: Flowers and fresh greenery
Summer: Golden sunsets and vibrant landscapes
Fall: Warm colors and cooler temperatures
Winter: Minimal backgrounds and cozy outfits
There’s no wrong season, it just depends on the style you’re going for.
My blog post “The Best Time to Take Senior Photos in Augusta, Georgia” can also help you decide!
Choose outfits that feel like you and make you feel confident. Neutral and timeless colors photograph beautifully, and it’s always nice to have one casual outfit and one dressier outfit for variety.
For more outfit inspiration, check out my blog “What to Wear for Your Senior or Graduation Photos.” After booking, you’ll also receive my Senior Session Guide with additional tips to help you prepare and feel confident before your session.

My Senior Session includes 1–2 outfits, which gives us enough variety while still allowing plenty of time to focus on creating a beautiful gallery. If you’d like to include additional outfits, we can add extra time to your session for an additional fee.
We’ll choose a location that fits your personality, style, and the overall feel you want for your photos. Whether you love downtown Augusta, a park setting, or a place that feels meaningful to you, we’ll work together to find the perfect spot.
I also have a Location Guide I can send if you’re unsure.

Yes! Your best friend or sibling is welcome to join for a few photos if you’d like to include them. However, the majority of your session will focus on you.
There are many ways to prepare for your senior session! A few things I recommend are planning your outfits ahead of time, getting a good night’s rest, staying hydrated, and bringing any personal items you’d like to include.
