For my final session of the year, I had the joy of photographing a beautiful couple alongside their two beloved dogs. Couples sessions are always meaningful, but adding fur babies brings an extra layer of love and personality. I’ll truly never say no to including dogs — they make every session even more special.

We spent the session wandering through Hammond’s Ferry in North Augusta, South Carolina, keeping things relaxed and natural. My goal was to capture real moments, so I encouraged the couple to walk their dogs just like they would on any other day. Along the way, we mixed in some playful prompts and poses to highlight their connection — including a few classic JCPenney-style poses, which always make me laugh.

Lily and her husband came dressed in denim on denim, a true Canadian tuxedo moment that fit the laid-back, authentic feel of the session perfectly.

There’s something especially heartwarming about working with repeat clients. Being trusted to document their lives more than once is truly a gift. I’m always drawn to capturing people as they are and celebrating the quiet beauty of everyday moments. If you’re looking for photos that feel real and true to you, I’d love to work together.
