With Christmas coming soon, now is the perfect time for family photos! This session was the perfect example — an extended family gathering with around 40 people, all dressed for the season and ready to celebrate. From grandparents to tiny toddlers in holiday outfits, everyone brought their own energy, and together it felt like walking into a big, happy Christmas reunion. It was lively, a little chaotic, and honestly so much fun.

We met up at a park by the river in North Augusta, which turned out to be the perfect spot for such a big group. There was plenty of open grassy area for everyone to spread out, shuffle around for different groupings, and still have a clean, pretty backdrop in every direction. The river added a calm, natural touch to the photos, and the soft light made everything look beautiful.

Their outfits couldn’t have been more perfectly coordinated for a Christmas session. The whole family showed up in a mix of red and green, with little pops of white and black that tied everything together without feeling too “matchy.” It gave the photos a festive, cozy vibe while still letting each person’s style shine through. With such a big group, the color palette really helped everything look cohesive.

All in all, this session was such a joy to be part of. Big family gatherings like this always remind me how special it is to freeze these moments in time — especially around the holidays when everyone is a little extra cheerful and connected. I left the park with a full memory card and an even fuller heart, and I hope these photos bring this family the same joy for years to come.
