My approach to family sessions is all about keeping things relaxed and easy, so you can just be yourselves. I focus on connection and movement rather than stiff posing, which helps everything feel natural and true to you.
This session was such a fun one. I met this sweet family of three at Pendleton King Park, and we spent the afternoon wandering around and letting moments happen as they came. There was a mix of quiet, sweet moments and plenty of playful interactions, and it all came together in a way that really shows the joy they have as a family.

I gently guided them with prompts instead of stiff poses, giving them space to just interact and be themselves. Some of my favorite moments came from the in-between like holding hands while walking, shared smiles, and those little moments that happen without any direction. That’s what really tells your story, and it’s always what I’m drawn to in every family session.

Their outfits were such a great example of how simple coordination can still feel really timeless. They all went with neutral tones, white tops and denim, which complemented each other beautifully. Everything felt easy and true to their everyday style, which let their personalities and interactions shine through in such a natural way.

Sessions like this are a reminder that family photos don’t have to feel perfect to be meaningful, they just have to feel like you. Whether it’s playful, a little chaotic, or full of quiet moments, those are the memories worth holding onto. If you’re dreaming of a session that feels relaxed and true to your family, I’d love to help you capture it.
