Augusta, Georgia is home to many beautiful locations that are perfect for a photoshoot. As a local photographer who was born and raised here, I know lots of great spots — from parks and downtown streets to hidden gems. In this post, I’m sharing my favorite photo locations around Augusta that always look amazing on camera. Whether you’re planning a photoshoot or just want to explore some new picture-perfect spots, these are my recommendations.
I couldn’t leave Downtown Augusta off this list. It’s perfect if you’re going for an editorial or urban vibe. Between the cute local shops, cafes, and lively streets, there are endless spots to create amazing photos.

I’ve been coming to Pendleton King Park for sessions since I first started my photography business, and it’s still one of my favorite spots. It has beautiful gardens, a peaceful pond, and plenty of trees that make for the perfect backdrop in any season.
I only recently discovered Bedford Greenhouses, but I’m so glad I did! After getting permission, I did a couples session there earlier this year, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend checking it out — even if you’re not planning a photoshoot!

Located along the Savannah River in downtown Augusta, Riverwalk is a beautiful city park with scenic river views, shaded paths, and plenty of spots to capture stunning photos.
I love shooting at Lake Olmstead, it’s such a scenic and peaceful spot. The gazebo, lake views, and nearby fields make it a beautiful setting for photos any time of year.

Although I haven’t had the chance to shoot at Phinizy Swamp yet, I’ve heard amazing things about it. I’d love to do a session there someday — the natural scenery and peaceful vibes look like they would make for truly stunning photos.
