I recently had the pleasure of meeting up with Savannah at a beautiful park in North Augusta, South Carolina for a graduation photo session. When I arrived, I noticed the forecast suddenly predicted rain within the next 30 minutes. Naturally, I was a bit concerned about the weather affecting our shoot.
Thankfully, though, everything came together perfectly. We moved quickly and made the most of our time, capturing a variety of shots with different backgrounds and compositions. Just as we wrapped up, a light sprinkle began to fall, and I was relived that we had finished just in time.
Despite the overcast skies, the soft, diffused light actually added a lovely mood to the photos. I think the results turned out beautifully, with the gloomy atmosphere giving them a unique and natural charm.
This park is one of my favorite go-to locations for photo sessions. It offers stunning water views, charming streets, and grassy areas that create a perfect variety of backdrops for any shoot. Whether it’s a graduation session or a couples shoot, this location works beautifully for just about any type of session.
As with any graduation session, we made sure to capture some classic shots with the cap and gown. But Savannah also wanted to highlight her stunning white dress, so we took a few gown-free portraits as well! I always recommend choosing outfits that complement your school colors as it creates a cohesive, seamless look in your photos!
